I just purchased a Trek 1.1 from The Bike Shop today and I had a very good time. I went in a couple of times before, trying to decide what bike I should put down my hard earned money for, and ended up with the 1.1 thanks to their help at the shop and many online reviews. Bill is very knowledgeable and a seemingly avid cyclist who is a pleasure to do business with. You also get free tune ups for a year when you buy from them, so that's a big plus! Over-all, excellent service and excellent product.
Billy at the Bike Shop modified a tandem bike that I had, just to my specifications. He ordered some parts, and created something out of them to work just for what I needed (which was not conventional). A few years later, we're back with a different tandem bike, to have him do the same thing. We'd highly recommend Billy at the Bike Shop. We actually live closer to Savannah, where there are plenty of bike shops, but after having tried several of them, we're going back to Billy! Thank you.
I had a diamondback mountain bike in serious disrepair. I had taken it to another shop which said nothing could be done. I asked the bike shop to repair my bike and modify it for comfort. They found the axle was broken and with a new seat, higher handle bars and a new AXLE it's a totally different bike. Thanks!
