I have just encountered a similar experience with The Greener Cleaner as the woman below. I have lived in Statesboro for about a year now and was always told to go to them as they were supposedly green and the staff was wonderful. A week ago my mother went in for the first time and was very pleased with their service and said they did a wonderful job, very friendly and not expensive. With that said, this morning I called to see if they offered same day service. I have an interview Monday morning and I saw on their sign they were closing to go to the GSU game in FL, but they said yes if I brought it in immediately, so I did. When I arrived, the younger woman working the counter was very sweet and I was very pleased so I left out of there sure everything would be fine. Unfortunately, I was very mistaken!! I received a call this afternoon saying that one of my dresses had bled colors. I returned their call and ask about it and the owner, Wanda Lee, told me that she needed more time with it and that she was going to try and fix it but she didn't think she would be able to. So as anyone would, I asked what their course of action would be if she wasn't able to fix it.. she replied with "Well, I don't know. Just let me try and fix it first." She said this with a awful attitude and I was quite surprised by her tone so I decided to kill her with kindness and I was very sweet and said "Okay! That is just fine, that's all I ask!" When I showed up to the cleaners to pick up my other two dresses she brought the two out and said she would be right back with the third as she just wanted to show me how it bled since I was there. I said "Okay, that's fine" and when she came back she showed me and tried to tell me "this is a common problem we have with black but I will see what I can do" I simply said "Okay, that is all I ask" and proceeded to pay for the two I was picking up. She gave me the total and I asked if it was just for the two and handed her my debit card...she replied by saying no that is for three and I asked why I had to pay for a dress that I wasn't taking with me and that she hasn't even tried to fix yet. Wanda replied by saying that she doesn't know how to split a ticket so I can either pay for all 3 and take the 2 dresses or pay for nothing and take nothing till its fixed. At this point she had an awful attitude with me and was acting as if this was all my fault! I was beside myself and told her that I wasn't paying for a dress that they had ruined until she tried to fix it. She then proceeded to put her finger in my face and yell at me say "Look, I did not ruin your dress, the color on the dress bled" she then kept yelling "just take your dresses and go find yourself another cleaner!" I told her that her attitude was uncalled for and that the customer service is horrible as anyone should not have to pay for something until it is at the very least attempted to be fixed. She told me that I was the one with an attitude and kept yelling and threw my dresses at me over the counter and told me to get out before she called the cops on me! I was floored! I can't even believe this woman and how she has treated a paying customer! I will definitely never return and I will be sure to NEVER refer them to anyone. Beyond their service the place was a complete mess and the very dirty floors had piles of customers clothing on them... needless to say I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!

We recently purchased a home in the area. While exploring one day, I could not tell you how pleased I was to see that Statesboro had “green” dry cleaner. My husband wears suits several times a week, so needless to say a dry cleaner that doesn’t use carcinogenic compounds is much appreciated. Within the 5+ months that we used them, there had been a few blips (losing clothing articles but having them found after couple of weeks), but we kept coming back because 1) they are a “green” dry cleaner and 2) the young man (especially) and young woman have always been super friendly and quick. However, we will NEVER return. I am so angry at this company that I actually went out and purchased a $550+ suit for the sole purpose to have an additional back up for when I SHIP my husband’s suits off to be dry cleaned at a “green “ dry cleaner elsewhere. I will never return after how the management treated me. The incident is as follows:

I went to pick up my husband’s suit, when I was told that the hem of the jacket was unraveled after being caught in the equipment. The young man said that they had a seamstress that could fix the jacket and I could pick it up the next day late. I asked him to check the jacket for other damage as well (a sensible thing to do since article of clothing did get stuck in a piece of equipment). He said that he did not see any, and I agreed to pick the item up on Saturday instead. After further consideration, I called and spoke with the manager informing her that due to the long distance back and forth, I was curious if anything else could done. She said she would personally repair the hem and to return in an hour’s time, which I thought this was very nice. Upon my return, I double checked the stitching and for any holes. I immediately found a place in one of the side vents that was not hemmed. After pointing it out, the manager went through a spiel about how it is common for clothes to get a hole here after wearing several times. I knew for a fact that there was no hole since my husband is meticulous with his suits. She then said that she could not sew it herself but the next time I brought the suit in to dry clean they would have a seamstress repair the suit at no charge. After requesting the offer in writing, I was forced to pay for the suit’s dry cleaning that THEY had damaged. When my husband got home, I told him what happened and how they were going to fix it, but he was livid. He called them right up and spoke with the manager, except this time, her tune was very accusatory. The manager told my husband that she found it ironic that I found a hole when I was looking for one and that the suit never got caught in the machinery, the hem just unraveled. When my husband told me this, I was actually shaking. I was that angry. What, did she think that we did business with her for 5+ months and held our tongue when they lost other articles only to bide our time for us to bring in a suit with a ripped hem, strings hanging down, with the lining separating from one of the back vents? Absolutely ridiculous! Like I said, I was happy just to have found a dry cleaner in the area that didn’t use toxic chemicals. I would drive about 50 miles round trip twice a week just to take our items there. I didn’t mind when they lost other articles because I knew it would eventually turn up. I even thought it was very nice of the lady to drop what she was doing to sew the hem back and offer to fix it further when we came back to have it dry cleaned again. I did think it was a bit strange to have to pay for the dry cleaning of a $350+ suit after they did a major screw up. However, being forced to pay for the dry cleaning of a suit that they screwed up, only to then be accused of lying and trying to swindle ensures that I will NEVER entrust The Greener Cleaners with my business again.

Friendly Staff, great to do business with! Totally satisfied.

The absolute worst dry cleaning experience I have ever had. I brought a jumpsuit in the get the zipper replaced, 2 weeks later I came in to pick up my jumpsuit, they could not find the jumpsuit. They said they would call me when they found it, I called about 4 times with no luck, finally a month later they said the jumpsuit was at the seamstresses house. When I finally got my jumpsuit the zipper was black, when the original zipper was gold, the stitching isnt properly done, its uneven and the strings are coming alart upon pickup of the jumpsuit, the jumpsuit has an inch margin of space becuase the seamstress did not size the zipper correctly and she added a clasp which is not properly placed and looks horrible. There is a 2cm hole in the back of the jumpsuit due to improper seam sewing. I requested to be reimbursed with no luck, save your money dont do business here.
