By far, the worst, most rude and resistant customer service I've ever experienced. Clerks will not even look up from their computer to speak to you. All are extremely rude, condescending, and unwilling to help students that pay thousand of dollars to attend here. The parking department is extremely vindictive towards students.
I like how during orientation they stated that you don't need a parking permit if your a student because they can scan the license plate to see if the vehicle belongs to a student but apparently this isn't the case.
Luckily I get the help that I need, but some of the employees give the aura that they don't want to help at all. Sometimes it can sound a little condescending and even rushed if a student is on the phone, almost like it's an inconvenience for them. As far as customer service goes, there needs to be some work.
My tag on my car recently expired (it's a sticky situation due to a long story and I'm currently in the process of trying to get my permanent tag), so I tried to drop the expired permit from my boyfriend's old car on his account and put it onto mine so it's new. Apparently since I'm not the "owner" of his vehicle, I can not put it on my account and therefore have to get a visitor's pass AT MY OWN FREAKING SCHOOL. What the hell georgia southern?! I guarantee you at least 80% of those permits do not "belong" to the students but to their parents where their parents are the ones paying taxes on the car and not the student.
Update: The customer service here SUCKS. Got booted and tried to call before they closed (since I payed off all of my tickets) and the people there intentionally didn't pick up the phone. They're lazy. Period. Ima a female and mind you it gets dark out early this time of year. I called over 4 times and nothing.
Strategically ticket their own students who also pay tuition, which includes parking and transportation. Very excessive with ticketing; I would like to know where the money goes; you'd think they'd have more parking on campus so they could ticket less, but hey they love their jobs !
