Hey everybody, I'm Clate Peed and a staff member of Statesboro Karate under Master Pierson. I have been training under him for 13 years now and not only have I had the privilege of training under such a talented and humble martial artist, I have also had the privilege to teach at the school for the past 5 years with a loyal staff who displays nothing but respect and a love for Tang Soo Do. The skill of the staff can be plainly seen on the mat and there is a drive from them to empower the students they teach. I would suggest this martial arts school to any interested and I have loved training and working under Master Pierson. Not only is the Tang Soo Do amazing, but the Krav Maga and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu programs are superb as well. I'm still a little confused at the previous review by James Garner, but never have I heard or received such negative comments about the school. However, any student of Tang Soo Do should know the common courtesies when entering another school. We would love to welcome any other practitioners, and would be particularly excited at a Tang Soo Do practitioner coming through our doors, but if all they look to do is critique the school as a "superior", a 2nd Dan black belt is hardly a level where proper critiquing can be done. Come on in and try out our Tang Soo Do, Krav Maga, or Jiu Jitsu! We'd love to have you!
I'm sorry that this was your experience but I do find this hard to believe. Have you ever even stepped foot into this school? I find it really difficult to believe that you sat in our facility for 2 1/2 hours not noticed....this tells me that you have never been in our school! The Owner and Instructors are AMAZING at our school....nothing but nice. This school has been a life changing experience for both of my children and my family! This school not only teaches discipline and respect but a love for one another....this is a not only just a school Sir that you just spoke negatively about but a Family and personally I don't appreciate you talking about my FAMILY!! Not sure what kind of Marital Arts school you trained in but that's not how we do things here. Apparently you did not learn any respect in your 20 years of training.... I ask you Sir where is your respect? The kids and instructors at this school don't go around disrespecting others especially not fellow Martial Artist. If you was at our school for 2 1/2 hours you would have seen that our instructors are busy teaching the students but ALWAYS make time for visitors and parents. Just for the record usually when you step into a place of business you approach the business counter...so I ask what your intentions were when you stepped into the school. If you were honestly looking for a place to train you would have approached them instead of just sitting there. I am so thankful for Master Pierson and his Instructors! They have been nothing but a blessing to my family. I have two girls who have been training for almost 3 years. This is our second home...my children eat, sleep, and breathe Martial Arts! Not only do they love coming here for the training but also because of the people here. My children have made a lifetime bond with each and everyone of the instructors and staff members. They know that when they walk into Statesboro Karate that they are accepted and loved unconditionally without a doubt! Statesboro Karate has been the best decision that we have ever made for our children!!!
As both an instructor and student here at Statesboro Karate I must say that I have never been among a better group of disciplined and professional martial artists. With more than 12 years of military and law enforcement experience serving as a specialized instructor I hold this staff and family in high regard as one of the most humble groups of skilled practicioners I have ever trained with and been trained by. The same techniques that are taught here are being taught to law enforcement officers state wide. Everything that is taught here begins on a foundation of RESPECT, SELFLESSNESS, and HUMILITY. As a student I have been blessed to be placed in the midst of such class. I am honored to have been accepted into this organization and given the opportunity to to teach what I have learned as an instructor.
Statesboro Karate has some of the most talented instructors & students validated by some of the most respectable high ranking martial artists across the nation.
As a parent of two boys that attend Statesboro Karate, I am having a hard time believing the negative comment posted earlier. We have been a part of this school for years and have never seen anyone not be acknowleged. I would know as I am there for every class that my boys attend Like it was said in an earlier comment they are like family, my boys have the upmost respect and love for each and every one of them. We could not imagine not being a part of this school, it's a huge part of our life. My boys will continue to train here no matter what others say simply because I know the truth. This is an amazing school and anyone that can't see it... well it's their loss.
My children have grown up & have been taught discipline & respect here.
I would encourage anyone searching for a place to train & become a part of a martial arts family to come by & give them a try for yourself.
